A property dispute in Oakville led to a shooting on Thursday afternoon, December 19, according to the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies, along with officers from Elma, McCleary, and Chehalis Tribal Police Departments, responded around 1 p.m. to the 500 block of West Grace Street after receiving a report of a shooting.
When they arrived, they found a 57-year-old man who had been shot multiple times but was still conscious.
The suspect, who was one of the poeple who called 911 to report the shooting, remained at the scene.
The firearm used in the shooting was recovered and taken as evidence.
The victim was initially treated by medical personnel and later transported via Life Flight to a Tacoma hospital. He has since been released after receiving treatment.
Investigators later determined that the shooting stemmed from an ongoing property dispute between the two individuals involved.
On Monday, December 23, detectives arrested Anthony Nolan, a 55-year-old resident of Oakville, on charges of first-degree assault.
