Seattle police detectives are investigating after a man was shot and killed early Sunday morning in the Hillman City neighborhood.
"Witnesses began calling 911 just after 2 a.m. Sunday morning to report a man had been shot multiple times in the 5700 block of Rainier Avenue South," Detective Patrick Michaud wrote. "Police quickly arrived on scene and found the 51-year-old victim surrounded by people.
"Officers immediately began first aid and CPR until the Seattle Fire Department arrived. Medics took the man to Harborview Medical Center where he later died."
Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to please call the Seattle police tip line at 206-233-5000.
The victim's identity was not immediately given, and is expected to be released this week by the King County Medical Examiner's Office.
