Man stabbed in downtown Seattle by screaming attacker

A St. Louis police officer is accused of driving a van too roughly to punish two prisoners, court documents claim.

SEATTLE — A man was stabbed in downtown Seattle by a screaming suspect who claimed the victim owed him $10.

A witness summoned police to Third Avenue and Pike Street Tuesday night. Officers spoke to the 44-year-old victim who said he was riding a Metro bus when he was confronted by a man who began screaming that he was owed $10.

The man said he got off the bus, but the suspect followed and continued to scream at the victim until he stabbed the victim in the back.

The attacker then walked away north on Third Avenue.

Witnesses described the suspect as a 50-year-old black man wearing black pants and carrying a black backpack.

Seattle fire medics took the victim to Harborview for a small stab wound.

The suspect has not been found. Anyone with information is asked to call the Seattle police tip line at 206-233-5000.
