A man, who has only lived in Seattle for only seven months, is suspected in more than two dozen burglaries throughout the city.
Gregory Heynes, 58, was arrested on Sept. 11 and released the next day without being charged, according to investigators.
When he got out of jail detectives say Heynes burglarized even more businesses

According to court documents Heynes broke into Jen Crofton's business in the Denny Building. Crofton owns Brunskwik Street, a boutique recruitment firm, and says Heynes stole laptops, an I-pad, and speakers. He was captured on surveillance cameras entering and leaving the business on September 26th. She is angry he was let out of jail in the first place.
"I am of course extremely angry because it didn't need to happen. He was in jail, why was he released at all?" questioned Crofton. "I hold the prosecutor personally responsible for the fact that our office was broken in to because it didn't need to happen."
Investigators said Heynes allegedly broke into at least 25 businesses. He broke into some of the same office buildings multiple times, according to police. He was re-arrested October 12th and is still in the King County Jail.
He's been charged in connection with 5 of the burglaries so far.
KIRO 7 reached out to the King County Prosecutor's Office to ask why Heynes wasn't charged when he was arrested in September and are still waiting for a response
