Students across the country are expected to walk out of their classrooms at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning to protest gun violence. It will honor the lives of the 17 people killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and press lawmakers to pass stricter gun control laws, according to EMPOWER, the youth branch of the Women's March organizing the action.

There's not an official list from school districts about which schools are participating, but accordingly to a map from EMPOWER, students in nearly 100 schools in Western Washington are participating. EMPOWER's list is based off students who claim they are holding walkout events at their schools.
