The Snohomish Health District is activating a temporary call center for anyone who visited the Altitude Trampoline Park located in the 6600 block of 64th Street Northeast in Marysville on or after March 10.
The Health District staff contacted Altitude Trampoline Park as a resource and to offer assistance as needed after reports from individuals being sickened with norovirus-like symptoms over the weekend.
"While it's not considered a reportable condition, we do follow up on cases of gastrointestinal illnesses like norovirus when they might be part of a larger outbreak," said Nancy Furness, director of the Snohomish Health District's communicable disease division. "Schools, day cares and other places where large numbers of children play-like trampoline parks -can be prime spots for the germs spread quickly."
The business voluntarily closed for thorough cleaning on Tuesday March 14 and reopened today.
David Jones at Altitude Trampoline stated that "our customers are our highest priority and we voluntarily closed to ensure the facility received an extra cleaning. The facility is cleaned on a daily basis but yesterday's cleaning was an extra measure of that. Our staff have also been provided additional training on proper protocols for cleaning."
The Communicable Disease division will be monitoring reports made to the Health District to see if this may be part of a larger outbreak.
Parents or sick ill individuals are encouraged to contact health care providers for symptoms.
