Missing hiker in Olympic National Park found

The search for a missing hiker in Olympic National Park is over as he was found Sunday near Mount Olson in a ravine, the U.S. Coast Guard Pacific Northwest confirmed.

According to officials, 26-year-old Jerren Fisher was located by National Park Service rescue teams and pulled up into a Coast Guard helicopter because rescue crews could not access the area. He was taken to medics waiting at Olympia Regional Airport.

Fisher was reportedly in stable condition.

Fisher had a wilderness permit for Sept. 8-12 and planned to camp at Enchanted Valley, Marmot Lake, Camp Pleasant and Sundown Lake, according to a release from National Park Service.

A family member of Fisher reported him overdue to park dispatch on Sept. 16 and then a search for him was planned. His vehicle was found the next day on Friday at Graves Creek Trailhead.
