MISSING TEEN FOUND: 15-year-old girl missing from Chehalis found safe

Update from Oct. 12: Police said missing 15-year-old Haily Cheney has been found safe in northern California.

Cheney appears to have willingly been with her former significant other, 19-year-old Zachary Jordan Drazner.

Drazner was contacted by deputies early in the investigation and, at that time, Drazner indicated
he had no information on where Cheney was, police said.

Police said Drazner was taken into custody on an arrest warrant obtained for Criminal Mistreatment in the Second Degree, in relation to this incident.

“I am glad this investigation came to a successful resolution with Ms. Cheney being located unharmed, and Mr. Drazner being held accountable for his actions. Our investigators conducted a thorough investigation and it is their hard work, and partnerships with other law enforcement agencies, that led to the two individuals being located," Lewis County Sheriff Rob Snaza said.

Earlier story: Police are searching for a 15-year-old girl missing out of Chehalis, Washington.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office shared information on missing teenager Haily Cheney on Oct. 8.

Police want help from the public locating Cheney.

Cheney was last seen near her home at about 6 p.m. on Oct. 5 in the Chehalis area.

Police said she was possibly seen getting into a small gray car, an Acura or a similar type of car.
