PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — Police are searching for a woman who is missing out of Pierce County under suspicious circumstances, officials said Monday.
Shantel Holznagel, 29, was reported missing in October by family members after they had not seen or heard from her for several weeks, Pierce County Sheriff’s Department officials said.
Holznagel’s last known communication was on Thursday, Aug. 9, when she messaged a friend, saying that “she needed help,” police said.
Police said they received information about rumors that Holznagel had been assaulted by an unknown person at an unknown location.
Detectives said Monday they were concerned she may have been a victim of foul play.
Police said they are looking for any information on her whereabouts and the rumored assault.
Holznagel is described as having brown hair and brown eyes, and several tattoos including the words “Angel face” on her back and an image of a diamond on her left ankle.
Police are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and charges filed for the person in this case.
