Months-long drug trafficking investigation leads to 2 arrests at an Edmonds motel

EDMONDS, Wash. — A man and a woman were arrested this morning at a motel in Edmonds.

A department post says it happened just before 7:00 a.m. on Highway 99.

Edmonds police said their detectives have been investigating the place since December when they arrested several people on suspicion of drug trafficking.

They developed additional credible information that led to Thursday’s search warrant.

Inside the room, they found a 42-year-old man, who officers say tried to run from them, a 37-year-old woman, various drugs, cash, and several guns.

The man and woman were arrested on multiple charges.

“This active investigation will continue, and further arrests and search warrants will be served on those who continue to engage in criminal activity at this location or other Edmonds motels,” the Edmonds Police Department wrote online.
