Amid the ongoing construction at Sea-Tac Airport, the Port of Seattle this week announced more dining and retail options are on the way.
The airport’s offerings will expand from the current 85 dining and retail establishments to 135 in the next few years, according to a port news release Wednesday.
Ivar's, Pallino Pastaria and Subway will offer limited hot and cold menu options from kiosks next to the nearly $17 million Central Terminal renovation, which eventually will add 10,000 square feet of shops and restaurants.

While it will be serving from a kiosk, Ivar's noted it did not win bids for a full restaurant site at Sea-Tac.
The terminal renovation project is set to be completed next year.
Two restaurants opened last week: Floret by Café Flora, the first full-service vegetarian restaurant at Sea-Tac, and Qdoba.
Many of Sea-Tac’s restaurants have expanded hours for the morning passenger rush, according to the port news release, including Seattle Tap Room, now open for breakfast at 5 a.m.; Anthony’s Restaurant in Central Terminal, now open at 4:30 a.m.; and all Starbucks sites, which now start operating at 4 a.m.
Dillettante, McDonald’s and Qdoba are open 24 hours a day.
Later this year, Sea-Tac will open at least eight new restaurants, including Starbucks Evenings, Rel’Lish burger lounge, Papa Woody’s, Stone House Café, Camdenfoodco, Le Grand Comptoir, Capitol Hill Food Hall and Ballard Brew Hall.
“Local brands Skillet, Sunset Fried Chicken and Caffé D’arte will open Sea-Tac Airport locations in 2019 and 2020, along with local retailers Filson and Elliot Bay Book Company,” according to the release.
And, for you reading fans, no worries. In addition to Elliott Bay Book Company, there will be a Hudson/Alki/Hudson News store in Concourse D.
All of this is aimed at better accommodating the airport’s ongoing business growth.
Passenger travel at Sea-Tac has increased for seven years in a row, serving a record 46.9 million passengers in 2017, according to Wednesday’s release.
