TACOMA, Wash. — All eastbound lanes on State Route 16 in Tacoma were closed Thursday after a fatal motorcycle accident. Washington State Trooper T Bartolac said the roadway was expected to be closed for about an hour.
The road was clear by 6:40 p.m.

The crash involved a motorcycle and a box truck. The motorcyclist is dead. A tow truck is working to clear the scene.
Traffic is being diverted through Union Avenue. The Washington State Department of Transportation says eastbound drivers should use alternate routes.
WSDOT is advising westbound drivers to keep their eyes on the road.
The medical examiner is expected to arrive at the crash scene shortly.
