SEATTLE — Detectives are investigating a fatal crash in South Seattle involving a motorcycle.
The crash happened at First Avenue South and South Fidalgo Street in Georgetown at about 5:30 a.m.
Detectives said a 44-year-old man riding a motorcycle collided with a Honda Accord.
The rider of the motorcycle was ejected from the motorcycle. He died at the scene, according to detectives.
The 29-year-old man driving the Honda had no injuries. He was evaluated at the scene by an officer. No signs of impairment were detected.
All lanes between East Marginal Way and South Fidalgo Street were closed while detectives investigated. They have since reopened.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
