MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — A Mount Vernon middle school student has been arrested after bringing a gun to school on Monday.
According to the Mount Vernon Police Department (MVPD), on February 3, an MVPD Middle School Resource Officer (SRO) was contacted by LaVenture Middle School Administration regarding a student with a gun at the school. Police say no threats were made during the incident.
The student was booked into Skagit County Juvenile Detention for Possessing a Dangerous Weapon on School Facilities, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2nd Degree, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
