Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest entrance sign stolen

GREENWATER, Wash. — The US Forest Service is searching for a National Forest entrance sign that was stolen sometime last week.

Colton Whitworth, of Enumclaw Forest Service, told KIRO 7 the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest entrance was likely stolen during the significant rainfall, but it’s unknown exactly when it was taken.

The sign is about 4 feet by 8 feet long, weighs about 150 pounds, and it was located at service road 70 near Greenwater.

Whitworth said the Forest Service is hoping to find it or replace it, which would be about $2,000.

Anyone who has information about the sign is asked to call the North Bend Ranger Station at 425-888-1421.
