The southbound lanes of State Road 525, also known as the Mukilteo Speedway, were fully blocked at Beverly Park Road Tuesday morning as troopers investigated a deadly crash.
According to Washington State Patrol (WSP) Trooper Kelsey Harding, the crash was a hit-and-run involving a car and a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist did not survive, WSP confirmed.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), one northbound lane and the turn lane were closed as well.
Drivers were advised to avoid the area and use a detour heading southbound on SR 525. According to the Mukilteo Police Department, the roadway would likely be closed for some time for the investigation.
All lanes reopened at around 9:45 a.m.
