KIRKLAND, Wash. — A collision involving five cars on northbound Interstate 405 in Kirkland blocked multiple lanes Wednesday afternoon, Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson said.
Johnson tweeted at 5:05 p.m. that the collision occurred just south of Northeast 160th Street.
He said one person possibly suffered a possible broken ankle, and another had to be pulled from a car due to their injuries.
The crash caused the four left lanes to close, including the high-occupancy vehicle lanes, but those lanes have been reopened.
The collision caused long backups on the interstate.
Troopers did not say what caused the collision but are investigating.
