TUKWILA, Wash. — Multiple lanes of northbound Interstate 5 have reopened near Interstate 405 after a fatal crash Sunday, according to WSDOT.
Around 8:30 a.m., one person was killed in a collision on northbound I-5 near Southcenter Mall, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson.
A person was reportedly driving their car at around 100 mph when they crashed into a barrier and a box truck.
The driver died at the scene.

WSP says no one else was injured in the collision.
Washington State Patrol, fire crews and medical aid responded to the scene.
Multiple lanes of northbound I-5 were blocked and traffic was backed up for at least 1.5 miles for several hours.
The freeway reopened around 12:30 p.m.
