Murder victim found in Ravensdale field identified

RAVENSDALE, Wash. — We now know the identity of a murder victim whose body was found in the Ravensdale area of southeast King County.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 53-year-old Nicholas George Valison.

He died on Sept. 21.

Valison’s body was found the same day in the 30000 block of 329th Place Southeast, just north of where the Green River runs through Kanaskat-Palmer State Park.

Chopper 7 was over the scene where the body was covered with a tarp in a field. Some clothing and possible belongings were nearby.

The ME’s office said Valison died from multiple blunt force injuries.
