An area grocer has its work cut out in recruiting new hires, and is offering an array of benefits to entice.
QFC, in a release sent Monday, called on those looking for work to apply for full, part-time, hourly and management positions, all available at its chain of stores in the area. That includes stores in Tacoma, Lacey, Kent and Belfair, as well as those in and around Seattle.
"With more than 200 open positions, QFC is looking for more great associates," the company said in its release.
"For the most qualified candidates, QFC is even willing to match the pay, vacation and sick leave for those coming from collective bargaining agreements currently covered by QFC."
The grocer also offers a continuing education program, "Feed Your Future." Those with the company more than six months become eligible for up to $3,500 annually to pay for continuing education, up to $21,000 total over their time with the company.
