OLYMPIA, Wash. — New tax rate increases went into effect in several Washington state cities and counties on Monday.
The increases will help pay for criminal justice, emergency communications, facilities, public safety services and cultural access programs, according to the Department of Revenue.
The Department of Revenue provided a detailed breakdown of the tax increases (see below) and also provided a mobile app users can download to find the right sales tax in any location around the state.
