The launch of the Working Families Tax Credit will be celebrated on Feb. 1 at the Seattle Public Library, Microsoft Auditorium, at 1:45 p.m.
John Ryser, acting Director of the Department of Revenue, will give a virtual statement. A live stream link to the event will be available upon request. Gov. Inslee was set to attend but cannot due to COVID-19.
The library will be one of 15 in-person sites where people can get help applying for the credit.
The credit will give yearly cash payments of up to $1,200 to nearly 400,000 low-income households in Washington State. Families are able to use the money however they wish to meet their needs.
