LYNNWOOD, Wash. — The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office made multiple arrests following a fight at the Rec Room Tavern in Lynnwood early Saturday morning.

911 dispatchers began receiving initial reports of a fight involving 15 to 20 people inside the tavern around 12:40 a.m.

As deputies arrived on the scene, the suspects were seen leaving in vehicles. A county sergeant stopped one suspect vehicle and arrested the six adults found inside.

Officers with the Lynnwood Police Department located another nearby vehicle and took more people into custody.

“According to witnesses, the suspects came into the bar and began harassing the disc jockey, who was an adult black male. The suspects were white and using racial slurs during the incident,” the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Deputies said the disc jockey was assaulted during the fight and some of his equipment was damaged. The disc jockey was transported from the scene to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses also reported hearing shots fired, but the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office has not yet confirmed the reports.

In total, nine adults were arrested for malicious harassment, assault, malicious mischief and/or driving under the influence of intoxicants.

In their response, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department received mutual aid assistance from the Everett Police Department.
