Nordstrom stores in Washington starting to reopen

Nordstrom closing all stores in US, Canada for 2 weeks amid coronavirus pandemic

SEATTLE — Several Nordstrom stores in Washington state have begun reopening after being closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Among the stores that are reopening is the downtown Seattle location, which was recently damaged and looted in riots following the protests over the death of George Floyd.

Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations in Tukwila, Auburn, Bellevue, Kirkland, Lynnwood and Seattle will be open to the public by the end of next week.

A press release from the retail company said it is taking a phased approach to reopen stores, paying attention to local health directives.

It also say that stores are conducting health screenings for employees, providing face coverings, practicing social distancing in stores and changing fitting rooms, among other measures.
