OLYMPIA, Wash. — An off-duty nurse helped save a woman who had no pulse after she was struck by a car in Olympia.
Olympia fire said medics were called to Lily Road Northeast and Woodard Green Drive Northeast at 7:24 a.m. Thursday where a woman had been hit by a car.
The woman had no pulse, but an off-duty nurse at the scene performed CPR on the victim until medics arrived. When medics arrived, they continued CPR for another 8 minutes and were able to regain a pulse.
The woman was transported to St. Peters Hospital and was breathing when she arrived.
