LYNNWOOD, Wash. — The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and Snohomish County Public Works worked together to clear 11.71 tons of garbage and three derelict RVs from a block in Lynnwood on Thursday.

Deputies said the RVs had increased crime in the 13600 block of 26th Place West, located just west of Lake Stickney Park, and "decreased the quality of life for neighboring residents."

Residents in Snohomish County with a derelict motor home or RV in their community are asked to email Sgt. Rebecca Lewis at rebecca.lewis.snoco.org.

"We thank Snohomish County Public Works for their commitment to improving our residential and business communities and helping to make Snohomish County a safer place to live, work and play," deputies said in a news release.
