BELLEVUE, Wash. — The Bellevue Police Department arrested a man accused of targeting golf shops in Bellevue – and stealing thousands of dollars of merchandise.

Officers arrested 36-year-old Cameron Rowley in Lakewood.

Police say Rowley went to Puetz Golf on 140th Ave NE on September 10 with two accomplices and stole about $3,000 in items.

KIRO 7 News spoke with the manager of the shop last month. He shared that during the escape, the door slammed on an employee, breaking the glass window. Outside the store, one suspect tripped, got up, and punched the employee multiple times before fleeing to a getaway car.

According to police, detectives were able to identify Rowley as one of the suspects thanks to information from the shop and anonymous tips that came into the department.

Rowley was booked into the King County Jail.

The investigation into this organized theft case is ongoing.
