Snohomish man killed in collision on I-405 in Bothell

BOTHELL, Wash. — All lanes of northbound Interstate 405 at Northeast 195th Street in Bothell were blocked for hours following a fatal two-car collision on Thursday night.

According to the Washington State Patrol, 34-year-old Brett Myers of Snohomish died. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Just after 9 p.m., Trooper Rick Johnson with the Washington State Patrol (WSP) shared the details of the collision, saying, “A vehicle spun out and hit the barrier and then was struck by another vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle is sadly deceased.”

The driver of the second car was hurt and taken to Evergreen Hospital.

Medical aid, fire, and Washington State Patrol crews responded. Both cars were totaled.

A report from WSP said there were no signs of impairment in connection with the crash.

At 1:43 a.m. Friday, WSDOT sent out a news release saying all lanes had reopened.
