One person shot in the leg in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District

SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating a shooting in the Chinatown-International District.

It happened Thursday morning on Maynard Avenue South near Hing Hay Park.

According to the department, a 37-year-old man was shot in the leg.

No word on the seriousness of their injuries or a motive for the shooting. Officers treated his injuries and applied a tourniquet until firefighters arrived and took over care. Medics transported took the man to Harborview Medical Center. At last check, he is stable.

Currently, no arrests have been made. According to police, the man had gotten into some kind of a fight with the person before the shooting happened. The man ran off before officers arrived.
