The Grant County Health District is urging the over 300 people who attended a wedding in Eastern Washington to get tested for COVID-19 after several guests tested positive for the virus.
The wedding was held in a private location near Ritzville on Nov. 7, according to a release.
Health officials are urging attendees to get tested after at least 40 people tested positive for the virus. Guests are also being asked to self-quarantine through Nov. 21.
People who attended and tested positive for the virus have also been linked to two other COVID-19 outbreaks, officials said.
We are very thankful to those attendees who have gone in for testing and are staying home. This helps protect their friends, coworkers, and communities from this illness" says Theresa Adkinson, District Administrator.
New COVID-19 guidelines released this past weekend by Gov. Inslee prohibit all indoor gatherings with people outside your household.
