Power restored to most customers in North Bend area following windstorm

Power was restored to thousands of customers across the region on Wednesday, following what was the largest windstorm of the season.

In total, PSE estimates that it has restored power to over 235,000 customers since the start of Western Washington’s inclement weather last week. Just over 500 customers remain impacted as of Wednesday night.

Outages were largely focused around Snoqualmie and North Bend. Additional PSE outages have been tracked in the Skykomish area as well.

Wednesday’s high winds took out a transmission line, cutting power from just east of Issaquah to just west of Snoqualmie Pass.

Repairs were expected to extend well into the evening Wednesday due to flooding in some areas, which made it so crews had to wait for waters to recede before they can begin work.

Mount Si, Snoqualmie and North Bend customers were told to expect to wait until 10 p.m. to have their power restored, according to PSE.

“We know outages are frustrating and disruptive to holiday and year-end plans – especially for customers who have dealt with lengthy or repeated outages throughout the recent series of storms,” PSE said in a Wednesday morning news release. “We appreciate your patience as we work around the clock to respond to outages with safety as our top priority.”

No other utility companies are reporting major outages at this time
