Firefighters sprayed foam to keep fuel fumes out of the air and to keep the fuel from igniting.

The intersection where the truck crashed did not reopen until 10:25 am.

Drivers were also unable to get onto the bridge from Delridge, the West Seattle Bridge off-ramp to Delridge was closed and the lower level West Seattle swing bridge was closed as well. Those all reopened at 8:20 a.m.

The driver was able to get out of the truck, according to firefighters.
