When the shooting inside Freeman High School happened on Wednesday morning, a parent parked the car along a highway and ran.
As the parent tried to make contact with his or her children, someone else took advantage of the tragic circumstances, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
Sometime between 10:30 a.m. and noon, at least one suspect went into the vehicle and stole a purse, which was hastily left behind by a worried parent.
Within a few days’ time, fraudulently cashed checks and the victim’s stolen credit cards exceed $36,000.
The Sheriff"s Office posted photos of two women and a car on its Facebook page – possibly involved with the theft.

“Property crimes themselves are typically hard for victims to deal with, especially when identity theft and fraud are involved, but the fact these criminals took advantage of such a tragic situation is particularly heinous,” the post from the Sheriff's Office read.
Anyone with information should call Detective Dean Meyer at 509-477-3159, reference #10123636.
