SHORELINE, Wash. — The Washington State Patrol says a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Shoreline is in critical condition.
The crash occurred on SR 523/Northeast 145th Street at 25th Street shortly before 6 a.m.
All lanes of NE 145th Street were blocked at the scene but reopened shortly after.
Trooper Rick Johnson said a driver was heading westbound on NE 145th and was about to drive through the intersection when a man "jumped out" in the crosswalk as the light turned yellow.
The victim hit the right side of the car's windshield.
The driver cooperated and Johnson said no criminal charges will be filed.
The victim is in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center.
