SEATTLE — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a freight train near the King Street Station in Seattle shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Seattle police said the victim was hit inside the train tunnel at Fourth Avenue and Washington Street.
The victim was a man believed to be about 60 years old, according to Seattle fire.
Police activity on the tracks interrupted Sounder north line train service for about three hours. Service has since resumed.
The circumstances of the crash are not yet known.
