SEATTLE — A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a car on Wednesday evening in Seattle, police said.
The collision happened just before 6 p.m. on Aurora Avenue North and North 137th Street, where a 58-year-old woman was attempting to cross the road.
Firefighters performed lifesaving measures, but the woman was declared dead, officials said.
Police said the driver showed no signs of impairment.
Lanes in the area were closed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
