A person was hit and killed on southbound Interstate 5 on Sunday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
At around 10 a.m. on May 1, first responders arrived on the scene on southbound I-5, just south of Union Street in downtown Seattle.
According to Washington State Department of Transportation traffic cameras, several right lanes were closed as response crews investigated.
According to trooper Rick Johnson, multiple lanes were blocked due to the collision.
At around 10:20 a.m., trooper Johnson reported that the pedestrian had died at the scene.
