AUBURN, Wash. — One person is dead and another is in custody after a dispute between two roommates led to a shooting Wednesday afternoon in Auburn.
The incident happened in the 2800 block of J Court Southeast.
Police said the dispute led to one roommate shooting the other.
Lifesaving measures performed on the victim were unsuccessful.
A KIRO 7 photographer talked to a neighbor and he said the neighborhood is close-knit but there had been issues at the home where the shooting happened.
“There were a few of us that voiced our opinions about the type of activity that was going on. In fact, we went as far as calling the police a few times,” said Howard Banks. “This is such a sad tragedy that didn’t have to happen.”
Police have not released any further details about the shooting as the investigation continues.
