Person of interest identified in stabbing of Everett student

EVERETT, Wash. — The Everett Police Department has identified a person of interest in the stabbing of a 13-year-old boy who was on his way to school.

His name is Andrew Freeman, and the department released a mugshot of him Sunday night.

Officers are asking the public for help, hoping someone might know where he is.

Freeman is accused of stabbing the boy on the morning of Jan. 16, in front of North Middle School.

Police say the boy was stabbed multiple times during the unprovoked attack. He is expected to recover.

If you see Freeman, do not approach him. Instead, call 911 right away.
