Person sent to the hospital after being stabbed in Everett

EVERETT, Wash. — The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing that sent a person to the hospital in Everett.

Around 6:47 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies got a call about a stabbing in the Pizza Hut parking lot at 429 128th Street Southwest in Everett.

According to deputies, the person was pistol-whipped and stabbed in the back.

The victim was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect ran away, which started an intensive search of the area.

The heavy police presence caused traffic jams while they looked for the suspect.

A short time later deputies found the suspect and arrested him.

The investigation is still in progress, but right now, deputies don’t know if the two people knew each other or what led to the stabbing.
