The FAA and NTSB are investigating after a plane crashed Thursday night on Lopez Island.
Allen Kenitzer with the FAA Office of Communications said the aircraft, a Mooney M20J, crashed during the final approach to the Lopez Island Airport.
Two people were onboard the aircraft. Their conditions are unknown.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, Kenitzer said.
