A weakening convergence zone is still producing snow showers in east King County and parts of Snohomish County Friday morning. We had reports of over 2" in Arlington and Lake Stevens, some light and spotty accumulations are possible in parts of Snohomish County early before tapering off later this morning.
- Some convergence zone snow
- Accumulating snow south and west of Puget Sound
- Showers diminish (and turn to lowland rain) in the afternoon
- School delays, closures
The South Sound will see some accumulating snow around Olympia, Chehalis and areas closer to Shelton and the Kitsap Peninsula. 1-2" could fall this morning before tapering off.
The commute could be dicey for areas seeing snow and south of Seattle many spots have dropped below freezing.
Late this morning a lot of the showers will taper off and by afternoon, showers will taper off and it'll mainly be rain but we could have downpours of graupel or small hail. Highs will be in the 40s.
Over the weekend, we'll have more sunshine and highs in the upper 40s to about 50.
