RENTON, Wash. — An 8-year-old was driving a car that crashed into another car in the parking lot of a Walmart on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Renton police officers responded to the store at 743 Rainier Ave South around 2:45 p.m. They said a father and his son were shopping inside when the son got the keys from his dad, ran ahead, started the car, put in in reverse and struck another moving car.

The car hit by the young driver had a mother and her 2-month-old child inside.
Renton police said there were no injuries.
