SPANAWAY, Wash. — Police arrested two teenagers in connection with armed carjackings and shootings Tuesday afternoon in Spanaway.
A woman called 911 around 3 p.m. reporting that her car was stolen in the parking lot, located at 20307 Mountain Highway East.
She told police that three suspects robbed her at gunpoint and hit her with the gun before fleeing in her car, according to a post from the sheriff’s department.
As deputies were on their way to the parking lot, several other people called 911 saying they heard six to eight gunshots on 14th Avenue and 203rd Street East. The gunshots were heard in the same direction the carjacking suspects fled, the post said.
Deputies went to the area where the shots were fired and found the stolen car crashed into a tree.
