BELLEVUE, Wash. — Bellevue police said they arrested a 26-year-old suspected drug dealer who they noticed was asleep in a running car.
While responding to another call, an officer noticed a man asleep in a white Dodge Challenger that was parked and running with the lights on, the Bellevue Police Department said.
Law enforcement said when the officer approached the car, he turned it off and woke the man.
After identifying the man, the officer determined the man had warrants out for his arrest.
The man was arrested and searched, policed said. More than 100 potential fentanyl pills, black-tar heroin, methamphetamine, crystal meth, empty plastic bags used for distribution and more than $5,300 were found in the man’s pockets, police said.
Law enforcement said the man also had another person’s Social Security and boater safety cards on him. He was taken into custody without incident.
The Dodge Challenger was also reported stolen.
After the man was medically cleared due to “admitted heroin use,” he was booked into jail, police said.
