BELLEVUE, Wash. — Update on May 22, 2019:
The 19-year-old student who police say threatened to shoot up Bellevue College is charged with felony harassment. Investigators say Shawn Takeshi White made threats to a teacher and student inside the Disability Resource Center on campus. After he was asked to leave campus, police say he went home and sent threatening emails.
White was arrested at his parents’ house in Duvall. During the arrest detectives say he broke a police officers nose.
White posted bond on the harassment charge and got out of jail. There was some mix-up that delayed the assault charge. The King County Prosecutor's Office charged White with second degree assault on Wednesday.
