LYNNWOOD, Wash. — A boy is dead after being struck by a vehicle Friday night in Lynnwood.

Police said officers were called about 7 p.m. to Highway 99 and 200th Street Southwest for a report of vehicle versus pedestrian collision.

Witnesses told officers that the boy was struck while attempting to run across the highway, officials said.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, officials said. The driver’s spouse and child were also in the truck.

No one in the truck was injured.
