Police investigating after pedestrian struck and killed in Kirkland

KIRKLAND, Wash. — Police are investigating after an elderly woman was struck and killed in Kirkland on Monday morning.

At about 9:10 a.m., police and fire personnel responded to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian in the 9300 block of 124th Avenue Northeast, near Forbes Lake.

Emergency personnel attempted lifesaving measures, but the woman died at the scene, according to the Kirkland Police Department.

124th Avenue Northeast will be closed between Northeast 95th Street and Northeast 90th Street while authorities respond to the scene.

The Kirkland Police Collision Response Team will lead the investigation into this incident.
