Body found in stolen car in south Seattle, police say

SEATTLE — Police are investigating after they say a person was found dead in a stolen car on Thursday morning in south Seattle.

A parking enforcement officer working in the 3900 block of 48th Avenue South found the body at 9 a.m.

Detectives called to the scene began a death investigation, which police said is standard protocol for a “suspicious or ambiguous death.”

It is not yet known how the person died.

The medical examiner’s office will determine the person’s cause of death.
