AUBURN, Wash. — One person died Friday in a crash involving a car and a pickup truck in Auburn, police said.
The crash happened before noon at Auburn Way South and Dogwood Street Southeast.
Police said a couple going east on Auburn Way was making a turn onto Dogwood when a pickup truck going west collided with the car as it was turning.
The passenger in the car died at the scene and the driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, police said.
Police said the driver of the truck was taken to the hospital out of precaution.
Authorities did not say if speed or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash, which is under investigation.
